Hundreds of Cheery blossoms and orchids are waiting for you at the NYC's botanical gardens

If you love the japanese culture and/or relaxing under a cherry blossom tree, check out the next Sakura maki festival at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden (BBG). on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th from 10 am to 6 pm they will be celebrating traditional and contemporary Japanese culture with: Taiko Drumming, Cosplay Fashion Show, Tea Ceremonies, Kabuki Dance, Samurai Sword Fighting, Manga Drawing, Vintage Kimonos, Bonsai 

Kids’ Workshops, Wagashi Sweets, BBG Parasol Society and More! I recommend you to go early or wait in line for a while, because this festival is really crowed but a fantastic opportunity to enjoy this wonderful garden. The tickets are 25$, but free for members ( you can get your membership using the NY ID). The BBG is lcoated in 150 Eastern Parkway, 990 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11225. only a few block away from the 2, 3, 4, 5, B and Q subway lines. Link: http://www.bbg.org/discover/cherries


The other option is just enjoy an spectacular in doors orchid show at the New York Botanical Garden. This event is closing on April 19. it is open 10 am to 6 pm, and the tickets cost $20, but it is free with the membership that you can get with you NY ID. Take the B, D, or 4 train to Bedford Park Blvd. Station. From the station exit:• Take the Bx26 bus east to the Garden's Mosholu Gate entrance.
