Help us kick off the 2nd annual Outdoor Rise!

Revision Lounge is hosting the opening event of Outdoor Rise and it’s going to be epic. Starting at 5:00PM all of the outdoors community is invited for drink specials, music, raffles, and prizes.

If you’ve never been to Revision Lounge & Gallery, you’re in for a real treat. It’s the ultimate “green” bar — everything here is recycled or made from found objects, from the car-hood DJ booth and bike-chain chandeliers, to a bar made from compressed shredded money and recycled glass bottles. Settle into one of the lounge’s bathtub couches or a ski chair on the back patio and enjoy an IPA or a creative cocktail. They’ll be designing a signature festival drink just for us, so come find out what’s in it and raise a glass with your fellow Risers!

5-8pm (thru 6/29): the 13th annual river to river festival features 35 projects and 90+ artists presenting free dance, music and visual art along the waterfront in parks, landmarks, and governors island. tonight's kickoff bash includes samples and discounts at area restaurants and retailers, and a performance by people get ready at north end way. >>
6/20 5-8pm: decorate the maypole, listen to fiddle music, make flower wreaths, play traditional games, picnic, and more at the annual swedish midsummer festival. rain or shine. battery park city's robert f. wagner park, free admission. >>

6/20 5-10pm: salon à l'empire continues its weekly summer jazz party at the terrace at yotel with live music by miss ida blue. no minimum, free admission. >>

6/20 6pm (fridays thru 7/4): 19 modern dance companies perform free shows in bryant park. tonight: stephen petronio company, nøa dance, underonedances, and the dash ensemble. >>

6/20 6:30pm doors, 7:30pm show (thru 8/9): celebrate brooklyn!, the 36th annual outdoor performance series at prospect park's bandshell, continues the season with amos lee and lake street drive. rain or shine (check their website/facebook/twitter for hazardous weather cancellation notices). free ($3 suggested donation). >>

6/20 7pm (+ 6/27): the misses comedy ensemble perform sketches based on hbo shows at the magnet theater. $7. >>

6/20 7pm-1am (fri-sat, ongoing): the weekly brooklyn night bazaar night market brings bands, food, breweries + wineries, vendors, light installations, and mini golf, ping pong + skeeball to a 24,000 sq ft warehouse. this week's music comes from not blood paint, fascinator, tow3rs, the coathangers, dahmet, honduras and xny. 165 banker st @ norman ave (greenpoint), free admission
