Now that "Jingle Bells" has been in the air for weeks, it might be good time to treat yourself to a few new holiday songs by Broadway composers and lyricists, sung by Broadway vocalists. The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts is presenting a free annual "Holiday Songbook" concert at the Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center, Bruno Walter Auditiorium. 6 p.m. Open admission, no reservations required. 40 Lincoln Center Plaza, Upper West Side.

There's no class like "Home for the Hollandaise," and you can't find it anywhere but Young Chefs Academy. Their seasonal class devoted to the beloved buttery sauce is designed for "senior chefs" ages 12 and up. The tech geeks at Silicon Harlem are celebrating the season with a public party at MIST Harlem, a culinary and entertainment collaborative. All are welcome, but guests are asked to donate a new and unwrapped toy to benefit the Children's Aid Society. The halls are decked at St. Patrick's Cathedral; and for one evening only, St. Patrick's Cathedral Choir, The Young People's Chorus of New York City and the New York City Master Chorale will join in song to celebrate the season. Join the congregation for an evening of traditional and contemporary Christmas carols at the 35th Annual "A City Singing at Christmas." Guests are asked to arrive early to ensure seating. 7 pm.
