Fashion and the Beatles

February 6 – May 10, 2014, The New York Public Library Steven A. Schwarzman Building
Fifth Ave. at 42nd St. Manhattan, NY 10017
On February 7, 1964, the Beatles landed at JFK Airport. Two days later they played live on The Ed Sullivan Show; the rest, as they say, is history. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Fab Four's arrival, the New York Public Library looks back at the peak years of Beatlemania, and how it left its mark on music, fashion, art and the entire realm of pop culture. A wide range of Beatlesania will be on view, including musical instruments, posters and photographs. There will also be interactive displays, screenings and panel discussions.
