Sunday join us in the climate change march

Speculated to be the largest protest against climate change in the history of the country, The People's Climate March will be held a few days before the UN's summit on climate change -- reminding the decision makers that they are accountable and that everyone is affected by the issue.

Activists from all over the country are pouring in while locals are preparing floats and artwork to raise awareness. The roughly two mile walk will start at Central Park West and end at 11th Ave and 34th Street. Come be part of the change.
The People's Climate March is just days away.

There's been an amazing amount of work and effort put into making this a historic event, but we won't be able to make this work without volunteers to help it run smoothly. If you've been wondering how you can help make this march a success - this is it.

You don't have to have any experience volunteering at an event like this - we'll give you all the information you need to make sure you're an important part of the team on the day of the march.

To make sure you have all the information you need, we're holding volunteer trainings Thursday and Friday. You'll hear about the plan for the day, the roles that are needed, and meet the other people volunteering to help make the People's Climate March a success.

Click here to sign up for a training.

The trainings are:

Friday, September 19th - 6:00-8:30pm
All trainings will be held on the 3rd Floor, room D, at TWU Local 100, 195 Montague st, Brooklyn, NY 11201

We're going to send you an e-mail later today with a deep run down of the march logistics, but we wanted to make sure you saw this first - because volunteers are that critical to the march being a historic success.

So sign up for a training - each one is just 2.5 hours, and will give you all the information you need for the day. That includes day-of logistics, skillbuilding in march management and how to work with other volunteers. Since the march is going to be huge, if you have other friends who would be interested in helping alongside you, please encourage them to come and RSVP as well. It'll be fun - and everyone who volunteers will be given a hat and tshirt.

Thanks again, and we'll see you at a training this week,
Nia and the Volunteer Coordination Team

P.S. If you went to a day-of volunteer training like this last weekend, you don't need to go to one of these. if you have any questions, e-mail me at nia@peoplesclimate.org
